Somehow you have found your way to my part of this web site. You might already know that I have been around this Radiology Department longer than anyone else. In fact I was the original person appointed in Radiology in 1979. There continues to be some uncertainty about exactly what I do in the Department but from my perspective, I am the person who does everything that no one else is willing to do including replacing the view box light bulbs.
Since this Radiology Department does not control any clinical radiology facility, most of my time and effort is devoted to medical student teaching and several research projects which are primarily related to Department of Energy activities. Even though the Department does not control any clinical practice sites, Department Radiologists do practice clinical radiology at several locations in Columbia including the Thomson Student Health Center.
Here is a picture which will give you some idea of our medical student teaching activities. |
